2022 SPRING ART & CRAFT FAIRE by 29 Palms Art Gallery

TThe third annual Spring Art and Craft Faire, sponsored by the 29 Palms Art Gallery, invites visitors to the beautiful grounds of the historic adobe in 29 Palms. More than two dozen artisans will set up on the grounds of the gallery. The large assortment of artwork and high-end crafts represented will appeal to art collectors and casual shoppers. Painting, photography, pottery, fiber arts, and jewelry are just some of the artwork visitors will find.

Admission is free. The event will be COVID-compliant and will adhere to state/county guidelines that may be in effect at the time, regarding facial coverings and social distancing.

This is a family-friendly event. There will be art and nature-related activities to celebrate the Spring Equinox, which is on March 20. A Plein Air paint-out will auction off paintings with proceeds helping to finance the Children’s Art Education programs. In addition, the gift shop will be open, and visitors can view the annual Members Judged Show inside the gallery. (Face masks will be required indoors.)

Guests can enjoy the naturally landscaped grounds, sit on the patio under the shade of palms, or walk a short trail to see desert views that inspire the artists that call the Mojave Desert home.

Stay tuned for more details about the Plein Air Paint-Out and Auction. Artists will paint in various locations from 9:00 a.m. to noon, then return to the 29 Palms Art Gallery with their finished paintings at 1:00 p.m. Bids on those artworks will be taken until 3:00 p.m. Proceeds of the auction sales will be split between the artist and the Gallery’s education program.

The annual Spring Art & Craft Faire’s venue is within walking distance to the 29 Palms Inn, Old Schoolhouse Museum, and a half-mile from the Joshua Tree National Park HQ & Oasis Visitor Center.

Come and buy direct from the artists at the Spring Art & Craft Faire; talk with the artists and ask questions about their creative process. The more you know about an artist and their style, the more likely you will appreciate your purchase or even become a collector.
