JOSHUA TREE RETREAT CENTER

Achieve a deeper sense of well-being. Joshua Tree Retreat Center offers the community many wellness classes designed to accommodate all levels of experience. Most classes are by donation, usually $5 to $20, and reservations are not required. Wear comfortable clothing, bring your water bottle, and join in for a welcome respite from the hectic day-to-day.

COSMIC FLOW
Sunday, May 1, 9am – 10am. Harmony Hall ~ $15 per class walk ins welcomed, reservations preferred. Register at mindbodyonline.com. You will be guided through an all levels flow that is themed with the current cosmic weather and then soften into restorative postures to nurture the body, mind and heart.

SOULFUL SUNDAY HEALING CIRCLE w/ GITTE
1st Sunday of the month, 10am-11am, FREE event, open to all. Experience a safe space to share healing energy, wholeness, and optimism. It meets at the Tai Chi Circle, outside of Noble Hall and across from the Café.

CLASSICAL HATHA YOGA
Mondays, 9am in Harmony Hall. $15 per class. A classical yoga style that combines pranayama (breathwork), asana (poses), and relaxation. Class helps support building strength, gaining flexibility and promoting relaxation.

MENTALPHYSICS 8 KEY BREATHWORK w/ HANNA
Tuesday, May 3, 10am-11am. Breathe your way to health by learning and practicing the 8 Key Breaths of The Science of Mentalphysics. Join in at the outdoor Tai Chi Circle. The suggested donation is $8.

CRYSTAL CHAKRA MEDITATION w/ GITTE
Wednesday, May 4, 5pm-6pm. Ignite your inner light, clear and open your chakras, and deeply connect to your deepest self. Suggested donation is $5-$15. Classes meet inside Noble Hall, with masks and social distancing.

PLANT MEDICINE MOVEMENT KAVA KAVA FLOW
Thursday, May 5, 5pm – 6pm. Harmony Hall ~ $15 per class walk ins welcomed, reservations preferred. Register at mindbodyonline.com. Kava Kava is a root indigenous to the South Pacific. Join Chakra for a serving of a cup of blissful kava kava followed by a relaxing vinyasa flow. All levels are welcomed.

FRIDAY & SATURDAY MORNING HIKE
Fridays & Saturdays, 7am – 8:15am. Lyndie Greenwood will be your guide across the unsteady, sometimes offtrail land at and adjacent to The JTRC. The hike will take you partially up an easy but very sandy hill where you will enjoy meditation, pranayama and standing asana while overlooking the beautiful Morongo Basin. Hiking shoes recommended. Bring layers and plenty of water. Register at mindbodyonline.com. Walk ins welcome. Group will meet at Food for Thought Cafe. We accept cash and credit card payments. If paying cash please have exact change. Class is $15.

PLANT MEDICINE MORNINGS – CACAO HEART OPENING FLOW
Saturday, 7, 14 & 21, 9am – 10am. Harmony Hall ~ $15 per class. Cacao has been used for centuries by those seeking spiritual enlightenment. Revered for its heart opening abilities Join us in Harmony Hall next to the pool.

FIRE FLOW
Saturday, May 7, 10:15 – 11:15. Harmony Hall ~ $15 per class (no reservation required) Fire Flow is a challenging class for the intermediate to advanced yogi. Using breath to propel your body through this thoughtful practice you will gain strength, flexibility, balance and endurance. Meet at Joshua Tree Yoga Studio, located at Harmony Hall, next to the pool.

COMMUNITY SOUND BATH WITH PETRA
2nd Thursday of the month, 6pm-7:30pm. A deeply meditative experience. Bring a mat, small pillow or blanket. Opens at 5:30pm. Reservations are appreciated. RSVP by emailing booking@thesoundmindgarden.com. Suggested donation is $10-$30. At Noble Hall, with masks and social distancing.

HIGH DESERT DEATH CAFE
2nd Sunday of each month at 1pm. Tai Chi Circle (outdoors) directly across from the cafe on the Joshua Tree Retreat Center campus. Death Cafe is a gathering of people interested in creating community and discussing Death in a ‘Cafe’ setting. In this space we discuss, in an unscripted manner, death and dying in all its forms, traditions and effects. It is not group or grief therapy but intended to be a sharing of experiences, asking questions and helping to inform and educate about mortality. COMMUNITY SOUNDBATH WITH PETRA
Thursday, May 12, 6pm – 7:30pm at Noble Hall. Suggested Donation: $15-$35. Join the Sound Mind Garden for a monthly community soundbath, a deeply meditative experience, during which the body is introduced to harmonic sounds and can then tune into elements of peace and harmony.
