Voting Period: 11/22/2023 – 12/31/2023
Winner Announcement: 01/03/2024

Prizes:
The victor of this election will gain the honorary title of Pioneertown’s Ceremonial Mayor for the year 2024, along with unmatched bragging rights. This role is purely ceremonial, with no governing power or monetary compensation, embodying the town’s spirit of fun and community.

Purpose:
More than just an election, this event is a celebration of Pioneertown’s unique identity and serves as a fundraising initiative. All proceeds from the voting process will be donated to the Friends of Pioneertown (501c3), dedicated to preserving the town’s rich history and its historic structures.

Candidate Eligibility:
Open to all residents within the 92268 zip code, the election breaks the mold by welcoming candidates across all categories of existence – be it human, animal, vegetable, or mineral. Human candidates are required to pay a nominal $25 nomination fee. In contrast, non-human entries (animals, plants, minerals) can participate for free using the coupon code “Cacti” at checkout. This inclusive approach reflects the diverse and accepting nature of the Pioneertown community.

Voting:
True to the town’s inclusive spirit, voting is open to everyone, everywhere. Each voter gets one free vote, with the option to purchase additional votes at $3 for 3 votes. This system not only increases engagement but also boosts fundraising efforts for the preservation of Pioneertown.

Pioneertown invites one and all to join in this festive occasion, whether by nominating a candidate, casting a vote, or simply spreading the word. This event is a testament to the town’s commitment to community, history, and most importantly, a sense of fun.
