Props & Hops Beer Festival Celebrates Top-Flight Brews for 11th Year

For over a decade the Props & Hops Beer Festival has stood the test of time to deliver the Coachella Valley’s most desirable beery event, and the 2023 lineup will certainly not disappoint. The Palm Springs Air Museum tarmac comes alive with over 25 brewers pouring delicious suds, six food vendors serving tantalizing bites, two entertaining and danceable bands along with warbirds spanning almost one hundred years.

“We are very pleased that Props & Hops has become an annual staple of the local brewers”, said Palm Springs Air Museum Vice-Chairman Fred Bell. He continued, “A huge thank you to all our sponsors and supporters as this event funds the education programs of the Air Museum”. The event is presented by Babes Bar-B-Que and Brewery, P.S. Resorts, and Hot Purple Energy with NBC Palm Springs handling the media duties.

During the fest, attendees will be treated to flight exhibitions and have the opportunity to purchase Warbird Rides on vintage aircraft such as: the P-51 Mustang (of Top Gun fame), the T-28 Trojan, and the PT-17 Stearman as of press time. Foodie’s will not be disappointed as Uncle D’s Smokehouse headlines the outstanding list of food vendors which also include Charlie Loco Tacos, Papa Headz, and Party Pop. Since pretzels rule as a beer fest staple, Wetzel’s Pretzels has stepped up this year to deliver the doughy goods. Entertainment is provided by the award winning John Stanley King Band and the high energy funk of Desert Sōl featuring top shelf horn players, a rock-solid rhythm section, and legendary frontman Horace Miller.

General Admission tickets for the 1-5pm session are $60 online ($65 at the door) and include eight 4-ounce tasting tickets and souvenir event glassware while supplies last. Fest-goers have the option to elevate their experience with the VIP option which includes early entry at Noon featuring exclusive beer and appetizer pairings, twelve tasting tickets instead of eight, and an hour of private time with the brewers before the General Admission session begins. The VIP experience is $85 online and sells out quickly, so prepurchase is highly recommended. Note: Additional beer tasting tickets are available for both GA and VIP and ridesharing is recommended.
