THEATRE 29 ANNOUNCES CAST FOR “Peter and the Star Catcher”

Theatre 29 director, Ian Ferris, and his creative team consisting of Theatre 29 veterans Jericho McNeltier (assistant director), Liyan McNeltier (musical director), Lisa Goldberg (technical director/friend of the production), Nena Jimenez (stage manager), Catherine Inscore (prop designer) and Cindy Daigneault (Costumer) are proud to announce the casting of the upcoming production of “Peter and the Starcatcher”, which will run three weekends starting March 17th, 2023.

“Peter and the Starcatcher” is a beautiful, theatrical prequel based on Dave Berry and Ridley Pearson’s novels, telling the story of a young orphan boy who becomes the stuff of storybook legends. Building on a world of imagination, Ferris invites audiences to bring their inner dreamer to witness the world created by the extraordinary humans involved in this production.

Cast in the title role of Peter is a familiar face, Andrew Perkins, with his villainous nemesis, Black Stache, portrayed by local favorite Kurt Schauppner, and his loyal second Smee will be played by Tiffany Crocker, returning to the stage for the first time in over a decade. The role of driven, ambitious caretaker Molly will be lovingly portrayed by Eliana Hicks. Ted and Prentiss, two fellow orphans and friends of Peters along for the journey, will be portrayed by newcomer Desiree Parr, and veteran Sabrina Olsen. Rounding out is an ensemble of talented performers of many ages, playing a variety of characters including the familiar faces of Danny Enders, Donivan Cox, Dennis “Easy” Boos, Joseph Rego, and Samantha Stevens.

“Peter and the Starcatcher” performances will be Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm with Sunday matinees at 2:30 pm March 17th- April 2nd. Tickets are available at Theatre29.org or by calling the Theatre 29 Box office at 760-361-4151.
